Redford Theatre
presents
Hitchcock’s
Dial M for Murder
in 3-D

The Redford Theatre screens Alfred Hitchcock’s Dial M for Murder in a 3-D presentation this Friday and Saturday. Three shows are scheduled on Friday, Sept. 11 at 8pm, Saturday, Sept. 12 at 2 and 8pm. Pre-show festivities will include lobby piano, theatre organ overture by John Lauter, and a short subject before the feature.
Tickets are all general admission, only $6

The Redford’s original Barton theatre organ, one of only 32 of it’s kind left on the planet in original condition, will be a must hear-and-see part of the show. Beginning ½ hr. before show times on Friday and Saturday evening, Detroit native John Lauter will play a mix of popular tunes in his exquisite style. Lauter is a master of the theatre organ style and a delight to hear. Lauter’s student and protégé, Emily Seward, will play the matinee overture.

This Motor City Theatre Organ Society event offers film-goers an opportunity to experience classic cinema in the authentic setting of an historic film house. The Redford Theatre has been owned and operated by MCTOS since the late 1970’s. The group originally formed in the 1960’s in an effort to preserve and maintain the theatre’s pipe organ. In recent years, the all-volunteer group has restored the atmospheric auditorium and lobby areas to their original Oriental Garden-inspired interior.

All this is brought to life by a dedicated volunteer staff. The friendly candy counter staff sells inexpensive concessions and boasts the largest movie candy selection in the Midwest.
