The Future of Design - Rakham Auditorium Ann Arbor - Oct 9th & 10th 2009

Thirty designers, critics and provocative thinkers will brainstorm how design concepts are evolving during the “Future of Design” conference, hosted by University of Michigan's Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning.

From FORM principal Greg Lynn to Princeton University architecture dean Stan Allen, the invited discussants are at the forefront of creative thought in architectural, interactive, industrial and interior design.

The format mimics the Pecha Kucha style of back-to-back, timed presentations:
Each participant will be given 15 minutes to present their views on the future of design.
There will be a reception from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday for attendees to speak with the presenters, and a continental breakfast at 8 a.m. on Saturday.

The event is free and open to the public,
but attendees are requested to RSVP
on the Future of Design website.

Future of Design is hosted by Taubman College’s Dean, Monica Ponce de Leon, who is also the principal of Office dA, with offices in Ann Arbor, Boston and New York.
