It's bigger, hotter, and it's coming to Detroit. Question is, are you? From the Biggest names in the business to defiant fashion-capital designs, lush cuisine to luminous parties, this is fashion fĂȘte at its fiercest. It's our 11th celebration and the as per usual, we've outdone ourselves. With names like Jerrid Mooney, Jen Knapp, and Rich Rice on the list, we don't really have to explain, you get the picture. With more than 40 of Detroit's trendiest restaurants and bars, and the hottest music and beats surrounding the event, attendees get to experience a cocktail explosion for their senses. But don't just take our word for it, come experience it for yourself.
BravoBravo! is a celebration of the tastes, sights and sounds of Detroit – all in support of Michigan Opera Theatre and the Detroit Opera House. In its 11 years, BravoBravo! has become the party to see and be seen, as each year, more than 2,000 young professionals come out to party for a cause. This year’s event is co-chaired by three of Detroit’s most involved young professionals: Jerrid Mooney, Jen Knapp, and Rich Rice.
More than 40 of Detroit’s trendiest restaurants and bars provide scrumptious food and the latest in libations. Each room of the opera house is filled with music, a variety of sounds by local bands and musicians emanating from every corner of the Opera House.
Last year’s event sold out with a record 2,000 guests in attendance and total revenues totaling over $180,000. Our goal for 2010 is to raise $250,000. Funds generated from BravoBravo! are used to support Michigan Opera Theatre’s artistic and educational endeavors, and the continued improvement and sustainability of the Detroit Opera House. Since its inception in 1996, BravoBravo! has raised more than $833,000, making this one of MOT’s largest fundraisers. BravoBravo! is also one of Michigan Opera Theatre’s largest volunteer-coordinated events and is credited with introducing many new people to the Detroit Opera House, laying the ground work for the next generation of avid supporters. This year, BravoBravo! takes on a fashion theme, showcasing an artistic industry that has long lived under the radar in Detroit. Experience Haute Couture with a Detroit edge as it moves off the runway and inside the corridors of the opulent Detroit Opera House. This year’s event also features a fashion design competition, coordinated by Ohm Creative Group. The competition, which runs during the weeks prior to the event, will allow designers from the local area to submit their designs to www.bravobravo.org. The designer with the most votes will be featured during BravoBravo! as well as win two tickets to BravoBravo and a feature article in 994 Magazine.
