Follow-up: "Detroit 1-8-7"

A few weeks back, I bitched about the upcoming ABC crime drama, "Detroit 1-8-7." I can't say my opinion of the show's potential has changed any, but ABC has recently clarified that the show will in fact be shot in Detroit. While the pilot was shot in Atlanta, regular production will start next month in Highland Park.

From the ABC website:

The new fall ABC show Detroit 1-8-7 begins production on July 20th in the very Michigan city after which it is named. To clear up any confusion: Only the pilot was shot in Atlanta, GA. The series production is, in fact, located in Detroit, MI.

That's good news anyway—when they're showing Detroit to be a scum-infested violent hellhole, at least the locations will be "authentic."
