THIS WEEKEND: Get Intimate at the Detroit Flyhouse
This weekend, something marvelous is happening at Eastern Market's ethereal Detroit Flyhouse: On Sunday, December 5th, sexual healer Leslie Blackburn will present her "Improving Intimacy and Connection" workshop from 6:00-9:00 p.m.
If you’ve ever felt unsatisfied by the depth of your current relationships or found yourself wondering why it’s so hard to meet new people, stopping by wouldn't be a bad idea. In the three hour workshop, Leslie Blackburn, MS, will provide instruction, facilitate discussion, and teach practical techniques along with guided processes for connecting with others.
You may have seen the likes of Ms. Blackburn performing on the stages at The Dirty Show and Damned, practicing and teaching yoga and aerial arts at the Detroit Flyhouse, or out of town at Burning Man (where she and her fellow performer Dixon’s Violin received an award for “Being on the Edge”). After 15-years as an engineer, Blackburn set out to achieve numerous recognitions in spiritual education, become a registered yoga trainer, explore aerialist, fire dancing and other performance arts, and found her company One Space, through which she educates others through the Mystery School of the Temple Arts.
“Improving Intimacy and Connection” will be held on Sunday, December 5th from 6:00-9:00 p.m. in the Detroit Flyhouse, located inside the FD Lofts in Eastern Market. The event is open to women, men, singles and couples of any sexual and gender identity, and will be held in a safe, confidential space. Bring your interest and enthusiasm, and no need to bring a partner!
For a closer look at the workshop, check out these video interviews in which Blackburn discusses the importance that self-pleasure has to intimacy and connectivity, as well as offers a description of the workshop in her own words.
Pre-register by midnight on Wednesday, December 1st by contacting Leslie Blackburn directly.
