WineGLASS~ It's all about the drinking vessel.

June 16th wine tasting will feature live glassblowing demonstrations of one of a kind goblets and stemware paired with samplings of Michigan wines and food.

Master craftsmen at the Glass Academy open their studio doors to showcase the art of blowing stemware in a new studio event labeled WineGLASS. The show takes place at the Glass Academy, 25331 Trowbridge in Dearborn, from 5-10pm on Thursday, June 16th.

The ticket price of $85 includes a handcrafted wineglass for your keeping, 2 drink tickets and food from Michigan companies.  Featured will be live entertainment of master craftsmen making custom glass goblets. Customers can sip wine and enjoy the festivities with opportunities available for custom orders during the show.

"This year our featured winery is Sandhill Crane," explains Chris Nordin, one of the craftsmen of the Glass Academy.  "We chose Sandhill not only because they have great wines, but also because they are a local winery here in Michigan that people love."

Tickets are $85 and can be purchased on-line, at the studio, or by phone.  VIP tickets cost $200 and come with a fancy Venetian goblet by a world famous artist.
