If you pay any attention to my podcast or videos you'll know I hold a special place in my heart for female pop stars that throw some electronics at their music. Coming up on August 2nd at Royal Oak Music Theatre we get the chance to experience Ellie Goulding, another rising pop star that infuses synth and electronic beats to her already ear-catching sounds.
Ellie Goulding with her chart topping song and album "Lights" is already a big star in the UK, where she's won the Critic's Choice Awards for the 2010 BRIT AWARDS and her album "Lights" has multiple hits and reached number one on the UK albums charts. She performed at that big ass wedding for Prince Willy and Katy Middleton. At her website, you can see her videos for her recent appearances on Saturday Night Live and Regis and Kelly. Do the slightest bit of googling yourself on her and you'll see she is probably working harder than anyone else out right now to make sure she gets some the limelight she so well deserves here in the US.
