Every once in a great while a few Detroit bands will book at a show at El Comal, a restaurant on West Vernor just past the I-75 overpass. It's a great cultural mish-mash to have bands playing at a Mexican restaurant (except for the part where you catch one of the restaurant employees using a sharpie to add a dollar to all their beer prices at the beginning of the show). You can have your burrito and eat it too.
