ARE YOU KIDDING ME? "There is nothing to do in Detroit"

This weekend (although extreme) truly demonstrates the depth in choices available for entertainment here in the motorcity. Usually we try to skip out of the MCB offices early on Fridays and today is no exception to the rule so before we go here are a few choice "DO NOT MISS" picks in case you wanted to find us and treat us to some beers for all the freebies we send your way

FRIDAY 9/2 - FREE Arts Beats & Eats show at ROMT
The Muggs / Goober & the Peas at Royal Oak Music Theatre

SATURDAY - 9/3
Kimmie Horne at Detroit Jazz Festival

SUNDAY - 9/4
Michael Hurtt & his Haunted Hearts at Hamtramck Music Festival

MONDAY 9/5
ANR at Lager House
ANR are a critically-acclaimed duo from Miami who sound is a mix of psychedelic synth-pop and Brian Wilson-esque vocal harmonies. They have opened for the likes of Animal Collective, Neon Indian, and No Age. Their upcoming full-length, Stay Kids (Deluxe Edition), is out 9/13. The album's lyrics were influenced by all the natural disasters (earthquakes, hurricanes, etc) that have occurred the past few years. But it's definitely no downer - the music is ridiculously fun and has a triumphant, optimistic outlook.

Another cross promotional show from the fine folks over at The Crofoot & PJ's Lager House
