Detroit indie rockers, The HandGrenades, are performing with Patrick Davy &
The Ghosts,The Future Laureates, and Holly Bernt, Friday, September 9th at
the Majestic Cafe in Detroit. Doors are at 9pm, the
show is free of charge, and 18+ are welcome.
After performing with Chicago's The Future Laureates in the Windy City this
August, The HandGrenades are kicking off a strong September and bringing TFL
to experience Detroit Rock City, here in The Mitten. The Majestic Café will
open its doors for a free show, featuring The HandGrenades, Detroit rockers
Patrick Davy & The Ghosts, The future Laureates, and singer/songwriter Holly
Bernt, who will be opening the show.
The HandGrenades are quickly making a name for themselves in the Detroit
music scene and have secured slots in acclaimed Detroit festivals, from the
annual Metro Times Blowout to this year's Arts, Beats, & Eats event. Their
two and three-part harmonies are the talk of the town, and these, combined
with jangly chords and plenty of catchy hooks, contribute to The HGs'rockin'retro
feel. The HandGrenades are thrilled to have worked with Kevin McMahon (The
Walkmen, The French Kicks) on Three Cheers for the Wonder Years, their first
release with Sound Artifacts Music. The EP is now available locally, in hard
copy, or online in the US and EU via digital distributors. The HandGrenades
are online at: www.Facebook.com/TheHandGrenades.
