MASS is an internationally renowned performance group that combines the creative forces of artists, musicians, composers and choreographers. Through an exciting blend of sculpture, music, dance and the visual arts, MASS continues to delight audiences throughout the U.S. and abroad. MASS Ensemble is known for large-scale instruments and kinetic performances. The Earth Harp, "The World's Largest Stringed Instrument" and other invented instruments are unique to MASS, as they were designed and created by Artistic Director, Bill Close. The giant sculptural instruments provide a landscape in which the artists perform.

The Music Hall stop will be unique to the tour in that MASS will create their own Christmas themed program which will provide one of the most breathtaking Holiday shows you'll ever experience.

MASS Ensemble is worlds beyond a musical group. Its members are inventors, sculptors, digital artists, and acrobats.  Equipped with instruments of its own invention, MASS Ensemble fills the stage with musical creations that are as visually stunning as they are aurally stimulating.

Combining original music, stunning instruments, video projection, and aerial performance options, MASS Ensemble creates a veritable feast for the eyes and ears.  The group is best known for its Earth Harp, "The World's Largest Stringed Instrument," whose strings span out from the stage and over the audience's heads up to 100 feet in length.  The Earth Harp places the audience inside the instrument as it is played, establishing an interactive music experience for all in attendance.  This creation as well as other instruments unique to MASS Ensemble function symphonically with traditional instruments, establishing a blend of classical and contemporary styles.  Infused with musical expertise and aesthetic innovation, each performance by MASS Ensemble is a sensory masterpiece.
