THIS SAT: Subgenius Devival feat. AMINO ACIDS

Eternal MCB fave, the late lamented Amino Acids, will be beaming back to earth for the traditional Subgenius Detroit Devival at Small's this Saturday. The last time the Aminos played Small's was such a fan-fucking-tastic time, I blacked out and woke up in someone else's body.

The Michigan variety of SubGenius doesn't seem to be as much about preachy talky part, preferring instead to book a whole lot of strange musicians to play at the same show.

9:20 - Opening Brag, etc - main stage

I had a few weird notions about what we hadn't done already at Detroit devival's and I couldn't shake a few ideas. It sounded fun to have loud bands play on the floor, right in front of people. It sounded fun to have a separate, smaller area for the bands that don't sing and don't need a PA. It sounded fun to make a main stage a cakewalk for a venue's soundperson.

This will roll off without a hitch. We have good people working on it.
