Detroit, MI - Atlantic /Top Dog Records artist and powerhouse singer Ty Stone returns home in March to celebrate the release of his debut album, American Style. Stone will be performing with his band at an All-Star Detroit bash, headlining the Fillmore Theatre on Tuesday, March 20. American Style, which was executive produced by Kid Rock, is available digitally across all online retailers as of March 6th, with the CD in stores nationwide this summer.
The 11-track album includes Stone’s latest single, “Anywhere’s Better.” The video premiered on CMT.com to a white-hot reception--racking up almost 50,000 views in just 48 hours and making it the No. 1 most viewed video following the release. It features model and CMT's Sweet Home Alabama star Ashley Ann Vickers, along with cameo appearances by Kid Rock and Uncle Kracker.
Regarding Stone’s album release, Stone said,
“I’m proud of every song and every note on American Style. With the help of Kid Rock as executive producer, I was able to make the dream of releasing my own record a reality.”
Stone is also elated to headline The Fillmore Detroit on March 20.
“I'm extremely thrilled to be performing a show like this at the historic Fillmore. So many great acts have graced this stage in the past - including Kid Rock on his ascent to rock stardom - and I'm humbled to be following in those footsteps in my own way. I have always wanted to play at the Fillmore, and I'm so excited to have my chance.”
Originally from Lincoln Park, Michigan, Stone was flipping burgers before being discovered by future label mate and music superstar Kid Rock. He has spent the past year touring, most recently wrapping up an opening run with Kid Rock on his charity club tour in November. Known for his soulful vocals and heartfelt hooks, Stone kicks off a 26-date tour March 1 with Uncle Kracker. (full list of tour dates here)
Openers: Warner Bros. Records’ country guitar slinger and Battle Creek native Frankie Ballard, along with performances by Detroit’s own Doop and The Inside Outlaws, Brandon Calhoon, and Paulina Jayne. School of Rock students will perform in the Fillmore lobby between sets.
