QUICK SHOW REVIEW: Tyler Bryant at Crofoot Pike Room by Cleanup Dave of Detroit

Blues and Rock had another baby and he is Tyler Bryant!

Fortunately for those of us that follow MCB we knew about Tyler and his band the Shakedown was coming to the  Pike Room in Pontiac Saturday night April 1st. The other Detroit music entertainment magazines completely missed this band coming to town.

What a performance. Tyler not only amazes you when he plays, he connects with you. Many days later I'm still struck by his personality and stage presence. He makes you feel like you met a new friend -- a very special friend that you can't wait to be with again.

Tyler played all new original music, rock, blues, and a little country that had everyone in the Pikeroom smiling, singing to and just feeling really good about being alive and there. Tyler played no less than four great guitars and even hit the drums for a set. His band is tight and rocks -- hats off to the drummer Calleb Crosby, Grahm Whitford on guitar, and Calvin Webster on base. I wouldn't be surprised to see them at a much bigger venue next time they visit Detroit, and I expect the tickets will be three times the price.

Thank you to the Crofoot for booking such a great talent!
