Show Preview: DMX, Nas and F. Stokes Chene Park, Sat. June 9th

DMX, a man who has been everywhere - good places and bad, is back on the road with "The Weigh In Tour" which hits Detroit's Chene Park on Saturday, June 9th. Fresh off the release of his ep, "The Weigh In," DMX is promising a tour that will bring his music and personality in a performance that will pull together the best parts of his career. He is also supporting his soon to be released 7th album "Undisputed."
Also playing on the show is Nas, whose  album "Life Is Good" is set for release in July. If his latest single "Daughters" is any indication of what's in store get ready for a thoughtful. heavy mix of honest lyrics and soulful beats. Warming up the show is relative newcomer, F. Stokes, who also features a more positive take on hip hop with a motto of  "Aspire to Inspire." His influences range from Patti Smith to Kayne West. I, myself, am very curious to hear more from him.
