Show Review: Toadies @ The Crofoot August 8, 2012

The Toadies came a hopping and a rocking to the Crofoot in Pontiac, MI. last week playing to a large, energetic and eager crowd. Hot on the heels of their latest release of "Play.Rock.Music." which just came out barely a week before this show, the band launched in to their set with "I Come From The Water" with a backing chorus of hundreds of fans who devoured and echoed every word. Bringing a setlist of over 20 something songs, digging in to their vast catalog of music, they brought forth old fan favorites from "Happy Face" and "Possum Kingdom" to several new tracks from their latest effort including "Summer Of The Strange", "Sunshine" and "Animals". You would be hard pressed to know that their new release had just hit stores by the number of fans already bellowing out the words to the newest material. The Toadies commanded the night, pounding out their jams with relentless energy, feeding off the frenzied fans who packed the stage front late in to the night.
