DJ Set Review: DJ Heavy Grinder, The Grasshopper, Aug 31

DJ HeavyGrinder
(Before I let out the bits and bytes of this show, I want to let you know the Eats Everything show I blogged about earlier this week is cancelled. Eats Everything is trying to reschedule for November, but go out to TV Lounge anyway, rest assured they will have something cool for you going on.)

Last night I went out to the Grasshopper in Ferndale and checked the Terence Parker/DJ HeavyGrinder show for a fun, sweaty night. It was my first time at the Grasshopper Underground and I was impressed with friendly staff and the overall feel of the place which was relaxed but at the same time everyone all excited for a good time. Before her set I spoke to DJ HeavyGrinder, who is as nice as she is talented and beautiful. Outside she took photos with anyone and everyone that passed by, even posting some of the shots to her twitter.

DJ HeavyGrinder's set started at midnight and took off at a furious pace with electro and old school EDM with bits of today's hits and dub step thrown in. It was a set that everyone enjoyed immensely with several song call outs and fist pumps. Because DJ HeavyGrinder is so attractive and fun to watch, this was one of the first DJ sets where the DJ booth was surrounded by onlookers and cameras her entire set. But, it was her seamless mixing of pulsing tracks keeping the dance floor full of activity that was the real star of the night.

Here's some pics of the people and DJ HeavyGrinder:
