Andy Warhol
remains a contentious figure for many in the art world, long after his first
exhibitions in 1962. Some argue that he is the most important artist of the last
50 years while others claim he is an insignificant fraud. Mark Rosenthal, DIA
adjunct curator of contemporary art, will look at Warhol’s impact and show what
it looks like in the context of art of the past half century.
