Rock on The Range Day One Review

DAY ONE

Friday, May 17

Rangers were pouring into the stadium in droves Friday night to start off the first ever three day weekend for Rock on The Range. Friday night consisted of two stages and 10 bands.
Opening up the Jager stage Friday night was Ohio's own Xfactor1. I remember buying a cd from these guys in the ROTR parking lot back in 2007 and now they have been given the opportunity to play the largest music festival in Northern America. I had a chance to show the guys the cd I had brought from them and have a quick chat with them. They were shocked that I still had the cd and they where beyond ecstatic to being playing in their hometown.
I also caught up with Mindset Evolution for a few photos before they hit the stage. They are getting ready to go on tour and will be sharing the stage with Buckcherry and Korn along the way. I also had a chance to catch their set on the Jager stage. These guys put on a high energy performance and they are clearly a fan favorite. It was nice to see Josh back up on his feet again. Last time I saw them at Uproar he had to play his bass from a seated position because of a knee injury. Their newest single "Burn it Down" will be available on May 21.
