Drop-in Workshop: Monoprints 6-8:30pm.
(Ages 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.)
Create a one-of-a-kind print using sandpaper and wax crayons.
Jazz Music: New Detroit Jazz Quintet 6:30 & 8pm.
This energetic ensemble, featuring the next generation of jazz talent with musicians from the Detroit School for the Fine and Performing Arts and Wayne State University, was schooled in the art of bebop by Detroit jazz legends Marcus Belgrave and Donald Walden.
Drawing in the Galleries for Youth* (Ages 6-14) 6-8:30pm.
Artist/instructors Vera Smith/Vito Valdez help participants create unique pencil drawings
Drawing in the Galleries for Adults* (Ages 15 and older) 6-8:30pm.
Artist/instructor Renee Jarmolowicz helps participants create unique pencil drawings
Adventures in Drawing (Ages 8 and younger must be accompanied by an adult).
Children explore creative expression through drawing with assistance from museum instructors.
Art of Four Continents & the Ancient World offered both times.
