"Detroit – Musicians hailing from many diverse genres will join grassroots activists at an art festival and political forum called Change :: The Music, on Saturday, October 6, from 8:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. at Johanson Charles Gallery, 1345 Division Street in Detroit’s Eastern Market.

The list of diverse artists who will perform at the event include Detroit Music Award winners Paul Miles (acoustic blues) and Nadir’s Distorted Soul (funk); soul singer L’Renee; rockers Carolyn Striho and The Maria Wade Band; comedian Tony Metro; poets La Shaun Phoenix Moore, Epiphany, Selah David and Will Copeland; hip hop artists DJ Sicari, Leaf Erikson, Tasherre D’Enajetic, WAE and General Population; blues singer Howard Glazer, Americana artist Michael On Fire and eclectic funk band BoomBox Hero. Other sponsors include Rock ‘n Roll Wine, Black Lotus Brewing Company, Gigante Catering, Technodrive Networks Collective, Landmine Design and Eclipse America Productions. In addition to the music, poetry and art, several interactive activities will engage participants and help mobilize the community for further action."
