Detroit's 1st Pecha Kucha Night - Atwater Brewery - Thursday August 21st - 8:20pm

Detroit's 1st ever Pecha Kucha Night will be held Thursday Aug 21st 2008

What is Pecha Kucha Night?
Each presenter is allowed 20 images, each shown for 20 seconds each - giving 6 minutes 40 seconds of fame before the next presenter is up. This keeps presentations concise, the interest level up, and gives more people the chance to show.

MCB's own Amy Palomar is one of the chosen participants for this event

Bio: Amy Palomar has been to Paris and New York and came back to Detroit. "I love our culture, there are things you can only find here and I want to share that with the world." In her first year pursuing Photography as a full time career Amy has been able to do just that.

Through her work with MOTORCITYBLOG.NET covering Detroit Nightlife and Fashion Amy was contacted by VISION, China's youth culture magazine, and was one of two featured Photographers for it's "Detroit Land of Hope" spread this past May. "I feel like I am finally doing what I am supposed to be doing."

Amy has been in eight shows in eight months with three more set for this fall. Four of those show have been with Exposure.Detroit. "It really is a great community of Photographers that want to help each other succeed. That's unusual and I think it's great."

By the time Pecha Kucha Night happens Amy Palomar will have just finished covering Dream Cruise with GM. Look for her photography to be published in Detroit Synergy 2009 Calendar. Amy Palomar is a Metro Detroit based Freelance Photographer available worldwide.
