Everything Burns Generation Goodwill Benefit Concert - Skateland West - Sat March 28th

Everything Burns is a non-profit that encourages people to get involved in their community; a non-profit to get others involved in other non-profits. You can find more information about it here: http://tour.everythingburns.org/.

The idea I had for my non-profit is to have a benefit show with all proceeds going towards Everything Burns and a new local charity (who partnered with Shirock when they came through Detroit in February), Generation Goodwill.

Generation Goodwill’s mission is “ We aim to inspire and enable Metro Detroit’s young people to make a positive and lasting impact on the region’s success through service, leadership and innovation. We hope to see the young people of Metro Detroit will develop effective leadership skills and appreciation for service as they become involved as advocates and leaders in supporting Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit’s efforts to help the region become trained, trusted and ready to work.”

Also, their objectives and goals are:
* To collectively engage young people in projects with Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit that are challenging, rewarding and educational.
* To expose, explain, and develop solutions for the unmet needs of the unemployed community.
* To promote among young people a greater understanding of the barriers facing the Metro Detroit community.
* To inspire and encourage a lifetime ethic of service among young people.

The concert will be held at Skateland West, in Westland, MI on March 28th. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door. Doors are at 6:45 p.m.
