Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum Upcoming Events

Yesterday MCB was invited to a few cool events that are happening
at The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum in Cleveland OH ....

Why was MCB invited?

We aren't sure why - but we checked out the list of upcoming events
and since its only a couple hour drive around the lake
we decided to hook in for sure.

Here is one of the events we were specifically invited to attend
so we are working out the "sick day" at the office.

Wednesday, June 3 at 7 p.m.
From Songwriters to Soundmen:
The People Behind the Hits with Dave Marsh

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum welcomes music critic and SIRIUS XM Radio Host Dave Marsh for the Museum’s FREE monthly program From Songwriters to Soundmen: The People Behind the Hits in the Museum’s 4th Floor Theater.

Marsh will be interviewed by Dr. Lauren Onkey,
the Vice President of Education at the Rock Hall.

Questions will be taken from the audience at the end of the interview.

Dave Marsh is a noted rock critic, historian, anticensorship activist and talk show host. Marsh co-founded and for four years edited Creem, the legendary rock and roll magazine that helped launch heavy metal, glam and punk, and spent five years as an associate and contributing editor of Rolling Stone, where he was chief music critic, columnist and feature writer. Additionally, he has written more than 20 books about rock and popular music.

Marsh's first book, Born to Run: The Bruce Springsteen Story (Doubleday) was published in 1979. It made the New York Times best-seller list. Glory Days: Bruce Springsteen in the 1980s, a sequel to Born to Run, appeared in 1987, and became a national hardcover bestseller. (In 2003, Routledge published Born to Run and Glory Days in a single volume with an epilogue, titled Two Hearts.) In 2005, he wrote the 40,000 word text for Bruce Springsteen On Tour. He has also written books on Michael Jackson, the Who, Elvis Presley, and the Beatles.
