Barbershop quartets, storytelling, drop-in workshops part of family fun
Get ready for some free pre-holiday fun, courtesy of Target.
Target is providing free museum admission
to the Detroit Institute of Arts (DIA) on Sunday, Nov. 22,
with a host of family-friendly activities.
Museum hours on Sundays are 10 a.m.–5 p.m.

Drop-in Workshops, 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
(ages 12 and under must be with an adult)

Paper Shoes
Use a variety of decorative papers and other art making materials
to make miniature versions of your favorite type of shoe.

Target’s Strike a Pose and Color Your Own Bag
Strike a pose at Target's photo booth and color
a canvas bag to make it your own.

Storytelling:
Thankful for Families, 11 a.m., 2 p.m., and 3:30 p.m.
Award-winning storyteller Corinne Stavish
presents stories of laughter, love, and gratitude for families,
especially grandparents,
in a performance perfect for the upcoming holiday season.

Drawing in the Galleries,
Noon-4 p.m.
Artist/instructors help participants
create pencil drawings to take home.
No experience necessary; materials provided.
Music: Barbershop Quartets, 1–5 p.m.
Barbershop Quartets from the Great Lakes region will fill the museum with the sweet harmonies featured in this entertaining style of a cappella singing. Groups featured include Moxxie, The Party, Singing with Dad, and Right on Q. Performances will occur in Kresge Court, Rivera Court, and Prentis Court.
