Chilean native Mariela Griffor attended the University of Santiago and the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. She left Chile for an involuntary exile in Sweden in 1985. She is Publisher of Marick Press and curator of the Poets Follies Reading Series in Grosse Pointe. Her work appears in Washington Square Review, Passages North, Poetry International and other journals.Griffor holds a B.A. in Journalism and a M.F.A. in Creative Writing from New England College where she currently is a Joel Oppenheimer Scholar. She is the author of Exiliana(Luna Publications) and House (MayapplePress).

Caroline Maun's first book of poetry The Sleeping, (Marick Press 2006) contains two poems nominated for the 2007 Pushcart Prize. She is also the editor of The Collected Poems of Evelyn Scott(National Poetry Foundation, 2005). Maun received a Ph.D. in English from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She was an assistant professor of rhetoric and composition at Morgan State University from 1998-2004. She was recently named one of two recipients of WSU's Academy of Scholars Junior Faculty Award. Her chapbook of poetry Cures and Poisons appeared with Pudding House Press in 2009.

Daniel Padilla studied writing at Albion College in Albion, Michigan, University of Detroit-Mercy and Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. An artist specializing in pastel drawing, his writing is enhanced by his studies of the visual arts in the streets, galleries and museums locally and throughout the Americas and Europe. He lives and works in his studio in Plymouth.
