One mentions the name City Club, and immediately memories come flooding back of dark, decadent evenings spent dancing the night away to industrial-goth music being spun by the DJs.  City Club is 'An after hours bar, an industrial night club, a place to see the famous rockstars. This amazing 20 year old night club is an experience you will never forget. High-energy industrial cutting edge music, dark, mysterious, scantily clad women, good-looking, sexy men, cigarette smoke and cheap drinks and a atmosphere too real to be imitated. Everyone who is anyone can not deny this night club is a must see while in Detroit. If you are looking for a night to remember you are looking for the Leland City Club!

As for the line-up, I have a preference for Cybertrybe's type of music, followed by Eprom Colony.  Cybertrybe is a perfect combination of gritty-techno-industrial-rock where Sean (Mooer) and Kitty's (Mooer) lyrics play as equally an important role as the multi-layered sounds being generated by  Jeff's (Sankuer) live drum set, Vandl's shredding guitar, Matt's (Bird) bass, and Joe's (Casaceli) ever-pulsing electronica FX.  Their minimalistic stage presence, accented by high-key lighting, sets the perfect mood for this group who pulls off fan-fucking-tastic cover versions of NIN's 'Hand That Feeds', Jefferson Airship's 'White Rabbit', and...you'll never believe this one...Patsy Cline's 'Crazy', in addition to their own ever-growing list of original songs.  Be sure to look out for the upcoming single 'Brand New Day', which was released to the crowd as a surprise.  Consider it a deep, dark ballad that will definately move you.  It was by far my favorite song of their set.  If you pass on an opportunity to see Cybertrybe, be sure to hit yourself in the head with a tac hammer, cuz you are a retard.  (And by retard, I mean the old school version you used to call your best friend when he said or did something stupid...not the politically correct 'mentally challenged' crap of today.)

Eprom Colony is equally as 'layered', but with a cleaner techno feel.  Two guys.  A guitar.  A laptop.  Kick ass vocals.  Being the first time i have seen or heard these guys, I was quite impressed with how much they were able to do with so little.  Definately gonna be sure to check them out again.

As for D:Konstruct...eh, not so much.  Too clean. Too pop-oriented.  May work for some, but not so much for me.

See you in the D.
