Upcoming Show: Verona Red @ Memphis Smoke, Royal ; 2/19

Coming straight out of the Windy City with some ruthless rock intensity, Verona Red promises to kick us where it hurts the most - and then keep going.

MCB's Response?
This is the Motorcity, baby - Bring On The Pain!!!!!!

As part of Chicago's live music scene for three years now, Verona Red provides energizing rock and roll that gets people singing, dancing, drinking, and laid.

Filled with bass-drum climbing, floor grinding, instrument swapping and insults to your mother, their live show never fails to arouse a crowd.

After releasing their first album, an eight-song EP called "Ever and After
the End" in October 2005, Verona Red debuted their first full-length
album, Side Effects, to a full-house at Chicago’s Double Door in
November, 2008.

Synth beats loiter across Side Effects, which highlights Verona Red’s ability to combine distorted blues-saturated vocals, provocative guitar riffs and boisterous singalongs into a sexy and undeniable rock and roll sound. The energy captured on the album is overtly palpable at their live shows, which is where Verona Red shines. While their music has always received industry praise for being “refreshing,” attention has recently shifted to the rock and roll dance parties always present at a Verona Red live show. Already in 2010, Verona Red’s live shows were previewed by the locally-hailed Chicago Innerview Magazine, recommended by Chicago’s Red-Eye, and reviewed on the blogs Consequence of Sound and ZapTown Magazine.

They'll be playing alongside Michigan's own, "National Ghost" at Memphis Smoke , on Friday the 19th (NO COVER).
