Acoustics resonate with a space in which a sound is made.  However, the acoustics also may amplify a sound.  audio listening audio: acoustic inversion attempts to amplify the sound of acoustics through channels of amplified interference determined by air.

audio listening audio uses air to partially determine the acoustics of the gallery in addition to amplified noise.  The air, which is invisible but heard via the noise made by wind chimes, define the acoustics over and against the architecture at North End Studios.  The air in the gallery moves speakers and microphones that amplify increasingly distant noise the closer they come to contact.  The amplification carries the interference between listener and speaker.

Through various live-stream sound-loops, audio listening audio amplifies the interference between listening and playing noise from speakers in a way where listening becomes noise and vice versa.  Simultaneously, the boundary between interference and noise becomes blurred, turning the acoustics of the space in North End Studios into the sound of a performance.

Speakers connected to microphones at far ends of poles hang above the listener and rotate according to weather vanes that move according to the air.  When all the poles rotate to meet all the speakers with microphones, the loop amplifies the noise furthest from the listener while inverting the room's acoustics.
