We missed the Detroit Autoshow but MCB visits the Wienermobile !!! by Jacob Giampa

WOW! That's a big Wiener!

Standing 11 ft (24 Hot Dogs) Tall and 27 ft (60 Hot Dogs) long this is the biggest wiener I have ever seen!

The Wienermobile was designed in 1936 by Oscar Mayer's nephew Carl Mayer. The Wiener has been touring around the country for its 77th birthday and stopped by a local Kroger in Sterling Heights to spread the fun and meat people from the motorcity!

What makes up the Wienermobile you may ask?

Well lets start with the outside of the car. It's a delicious grilled fiber glass Hot Dog resting on a lightly toasted bun. It is also a converted Chevrolet 4 speed/W4 series chassis with a V-8 6 liter 300 vortec 5700 that runs on high-octane mustard!

The insides have lots of cool things too, such as a ketchup walkway, computerized control panel with a killer sound system just to name a few. The coolest thing of them all is the official Wiener jingle horn. If you missed out on see this amazing automobile you can always go check another one out on display at The Henry Ford Museum.
