In Growing Up Haunted Alexandra Holzer documents her unusual upbringing in a informative yet light style. The occult holds a fascination for many. This grows without saying when you see a lot of the crime, occult, and supernatural television programing in recent years. Alexandra Holzer grew up with her father, Dr. Hans Holzer and her mother, Countess Catherine Buxhoeveden. Her father is a renowned ghost hunter and he also wrote several books. There are two forewords in this book. One by each of Alexandra's parents. Hans comments he is pleased to see his writing talent has been passed on to his daughter. Her background shaped her into what she is today. She herself has psychic abilities and loves to write. This is a lovely memoir about a truly unique and influential family.

In Nashville Steeler: My Life in Country Music Don Davis describes his career in country music. Don was a very successful country music musician.  He also became a music executive who worked with some significant country legends. This book is complete with 100 photos and recollections from close friends like Johnny Cash, the Carter family, Waylon Jennings, Roy Acuff, and many more. Don Davis certainly has lived a rich life and he is quite a good storyteller. This book will entertain, inform, delight, and move its readers. Anyone who is a fan of country music should read this. It is essential reading. This book documents a fascinating period of music and american history.

In Historic Christmas Art by Mary L Martin and Tina Skinner 330 color illustrations are on view in this charming collection. This volume documents christmas clip-art and posters from the late 18th century to the 1930s. Who doesn't like Christmas? It is pleasant to flip through and see these historic, sweet, and celebratory images of a much loved holiday season. Also included is a disc uploaded with all of the imagery in this book which can be enjoyed on the computer.  So kick back with your cocoa topped with whipped cream and cinnamon and enjoy the many decades of christmas spirit and traditions.
