Wild At Heart
Been a good week with some nice warm weather, though yesterdays 94 degrees was a bit too much. I was at our Summerfest here which featured TGT (Tank, Genuwine and Tyrese) and Kelly Rowland which was rockin' and thankfully inside. Even more exciting was our Party In the Park which featured the ska/reggae band the Skatalites who has been bringing in strong since 1964. Only alto sax player Lester Sterling is still with the band (every other founding member has passed away) but they have a nice core of musicians that have kept the beat alive on songs like "Guns of Navarone" and "James Bond".
They don't have any Detroit shows in the near future, but here are some good shows coming up you can try:
