"Menagerie: A Group Exhibition"
Presented by the Ferndale Public Library Arts and Exhibitions Committee

Artist's Reception: Thursday, August 28, 7-9pm - Free to the Public
 
The Ferndale Public Library will be presenting a zoo's worth of art with its latest group exhibition.
"Menagerie" is the seventh art exhibit hosted by the library and it runs Mon., Aug. 25 – Sat, Oct. 11, 2014.
 
There will be an Artists' Reception held at the library on Thu., Aug. 28, 7-9 pm.
Creatures from every kingdom, from insects to jellyfish to birds and mammals, will be captured in frames and in form at the library. Two-dimensional works include photographs, drawings and paintings in numerous mediums. Animals are represented in folded paper, mixed media ensembles, stone, and more. Artists from throughout the metro Detroit area found inspiration for this exhibition.
 
Contributing artists include:
Lara Alami, Kia Arriaga, Abida Blaze, Alana Carlson, Joseph Ferrarro, Faye Gibson, Jeremy Harvey, Julie Howells, Peggy Kerwan, Brigid Kilcoin, Debby Kobayashi, Brian Lewandowski, Terri Light, P. Mari, Kathy Meloy, Katherine Montalto, Deandra Norman, Rafael Pacheco, Matt Paw, Catherine Peet, Marion Richter, Kathy Ritter, Stella Rothe, Joseph Smedo, Jenny Snyder, Jeremy Wilson and Kelly Wojdyla.
 
The Committee will not be involved in the sale of any artwork in the exhibition beyond providing interested buyers with the artist's provided contact information.
The Ferndale Public Library Art and Exhibitions Committee's mission is to promote and foster an appreciation of two and three-dimensional art for library patrons, through exhibits, lectures, and an expanded collection of art books.
