FLOOD BENEFIT CONCERTS FOR LIZ & GRETCHEN OF THE LUCKOUTS!

Friends and fellow musicians will join together to help out two local musicians - Liz Scaris and Gretchen Domino of the rock band The Luckouts - as they try to get their lives back in order after the flood on August 11 that destroyed their home. The Warren residents' home was condemned after the basement walls caved in, destroying their rehearsal space and making the entire house unlivable.

The house was featured in news reports in the days following the flood and even received a visit from the Mayor and the Governor who toured the damaged home and the flooded neighborhood. Insurance is not coming to their aid nor is FEMA who came to town to assess the damage. They have been struggling to rebuild their home and lives while they live in a borrowed trailer in their front yard and wait for federal aid to decide whether to assist flood victims.

Meanwhile, people in the Detroit music community have stepped up to lend a hand. There are two concert benefits scheduled and a GoFundMe crowd-funding campaign to raise money to help them in this time of need.

The first benefit is on SundaySeptember 21, 2014 and the second on FridaySeptember 26, 2014 so you can have two chances to attend and check out some great bands rocking out for the cause.
