Run The Jewels offer new song and hit Detroit Nov. 25

I saw Run the Jewels at last year's Laneway Festival as the lone hip hop act. They drank and joked through most of their set but somewhere inbetween there was some brilliant hip hop.

In keeping with their tradition of not following tradition, Run The Jewels are sharing a stream of their contribution to Adult Swim Singles concurrent with it being available for download. "Oh My Darling Don't Cry" picks up right where first RTJ2 single "Blockbuster Night Pt. 1" left off -- with El-P and Killer Mike, two of the best rappers currently doing it, ferociously proving they can out-rap anyone else in their field. Additionally, the track features a guest robot voice from Michael Winslow of Police Academy fame. Honestly, the beats and samples are the most awesome part of the track but the rapping certainly does not slouch any. Check out the track streaming via Soundcloud and available for free download now at adultswim.com/singles.

The duo's hotly anticipated sophomore album RTJ2 is set to arrive as a free download (via www.runthejewels.net), as well as CD, LP, and digital via Mass Appeal Records on October 27, and has been revealed to include guest spots from Zack de la Rocha, Travis Barker, BOOTS, and Diane Coffee. The album will be accompanied by extensive world touring; tickets for many of the shows on sale now. Check their website out for more details on their tour. They will be playing Detroit on Nov. 25 at St. Andrews Hall.
