Today, North By Northeast (NXNE) Future Land, the new Interactive, Music and Gaming Conference together with co-host, Ryerson University announces
 the godfather – or grandfather - of gaming, the man who founded Atari, 
technology pioneer, entrepreneur, engineer and author Nolan Bushnell will be the keynote speaker on Wednesday, June 15 at Ryerson University, Ted Rogers School of Management.
Nolan Bushnell is best 
known as the founder of Atari Corporation. Often cited as the Father of 
the video game industry, Bushnell introduced videogames to the masses 
with Pong, Computer Space and many other legendary games, 
as well as the home videogame console system with multiple game 
cartridges. With his latest startup, BrainRush, he is intent on fixing 
education with software that uses gamification principles to “addict” 
students to learning. 
NXNE Future Land conference
 brings together the intersection of music and gaming with a speaker 
series and industry panels focusing on technology, gaming, and how 
musicians can thrive in these industries. Sessions include: The Art of Sound and Music with music composers and game publishers discussing how they make, find and choose music for gaming soundtracks; Master Class in Storytelling and Game Development with the creators at Ubisoft; Designing the Future with
 Big Viking, innovators in the mobile gaming industry, speaking about 
why they believe Toronto is poised as an innovation hub. Session 
attendee’s will also have a chance to sign-up and experience the latest 
in Virtual Reality from sponsor AMD.
