Inaugural “Yappy Hour” to Benefit Michigan Animal Rescue League Dogs
and Their Human Companions Invited to Festive Cocktail Party on October 8 Join the Michigan Animal Rescue League (MARL) for their first annual Yappy Hour – a happy hour for canines and their human companions on Thursday October 8 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. on the lawn of the beautiful Royal Park Hotel (600 East University Drive, Rochester, Michigan).
Guests will sip specialty “pup-tails” and enjoy delicious “hound-d’oeuvres” while their dogs enjoy the finer things right alongside them with gourmet dog food and treats. With live music by Detroit pop/rock artist Robin Horlock, a silent auction (featuring a variety of items including memorabilia autographed by the Detroit Red Wings and Tiger Woods), art park, and pet and owner photo portrait opportunities– Yappy Hour promises to be a fabulous evening of music, art, food, socializing and fun for you and your dog!
If that wasn’t enough, Terri L. Orbuch, PHD, better known as Fox 2’s “The Love Doctor,” will also be on hand, speaking about pets and relationships. Additionally, Yappy Hour attendees can shop for pet accessories and gifts including Priss Make Up’s Puppy Love lipstick (an exclusive shade benefiting MARL) at the outdoor pet boutique. Dress yourself and your pooch to impress – as the Royal Park Hotel will be awarding a complimentary brunch for two for Yappy Hour’s “Best Dressed Dog.” Tickets are $60 and $100 (VIP) and are now available online at michigananimalrescueleague.org or by calling the shelter at 248-335-9290.VIP tickets includes a premium “velvet rope” experience with complimentary Zodiac Vodka cocktails and other extras.
