Wild, witty, wet and altogether winning. - New York Times
Éloize: Pronounced [EL-WAZ] is a word that comes from the Magdalen Islands and means “flashes of heat lightning seen on the horizon”. As an inspiration for the troupe's founding members, this lightning symbolizes the heat and energy that feed the troupe's spirit.
Cirque Éloize: NEBBIA is the third part of the Sky Trilogy in which the fog takes center stage and reality is transformed into dreamy surrealist environment, blending acrobatic theater and modern circus.
NEBBIA is directed by Daniele Finzi Pasca and co-produced by Cirque Éloize and Teatro Sunil. Following upon Nomade and Rain, NEBBIA completes the trilogy dedicated to the sky.
NEBBIA is at the crossroads where acrobatic theatre, modern circus, and performance come together, Emotion and sensuality exudes through the music and singing in the collaborative process embraced by Cirque Éloize and Teatro Sunil. The musical score for this new creation becomes a character in its own right, carrying on a dialogue with the twelve on-stage performers.
