Wild At Heart
The last time I had cable TV, HBO's "Tales Of The Crypt" was still on the air and while I do miss the occasional sporting event (certain NCAA Basketball games, football bowl games, etc) but occasionally a TV show comes along that I wish I could watch in real time. I have been a big fan of 'Breaking Bad' as soon as I watched the first episode courtesy of the local library's DVD collection. I just watched the first half of season 5 (SPOILER ALERT) and must say I was so impressed by Walt's story arc. I remember watching him in those first episodes where he was a bumbling fool with no idea of what he was doing besides being a good scientist. To see him trying to resurrecting his meth business, organizing a train robbery and dealing with Mike and the potential witnesses. He is definately building up an empire and despite how evil he seems to get it is still not hard to root for him esp after his reveal about how he feels about losing his company years ago. I know the show's second half started this weekend to double it's usual numbers. What took everyone so long to watch what is the best show on TV (sorry Game Of Thrones). I know Walt and Hank were supposed to have a big showdown as episode 8 ended up with Hank finding a book that makes him believe Walt is Heisenberg. I hate knowing I'll have to wait a few months to watch these episodes but if you are not watching this show, you need to start now.
How many people would like to see the series end with Walt giving up Madrigal and maybe the other drug group and end up in protective custody and ending up as the dad in Malcolm In The Middle. That would be the best series ending since the series finale of "Newhart" and could you think of a worse punishment than dealing with that family.
If you are like me and don't have cable, here are some concerts you can go to until it comes out on DVD.
