Pro Wrestlers Vs. Zombies Exclusive Screening, Live Music Plus WWE Legends at Emagine Theatre on Wednesday April 9 Movie, Music and Mayhem in Royal Oak for One Night Only!

Join Detroit rockers Dead in 5 for a night of movies, music and mayhem at Emagine Theatre (200 N. Main St, Royal Oak, MI Ph: 248-414-1000) on Wednesday, April 9, 2014.  The band hosts two screenings of horror B-Movie “Pro Wrestlers Vs. Zombies” starring WWE legends Rowdy Roddy Piper, Matt Hardy, Jim “Hacksaw” Duggan, Shane Douglas, and Olympic champ Kurt Angle.  Screenings are at 7:30 pm and 10 pm.  Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased in advance at Emagine Theater’s web site: http://www.emagine-entertainment.com/coming-soon/ or at the box office.  All ages are welcome to attend. Pro Wrestlers Vs. Zombies is unrated.

Wrestling fans wanting an up-close and personal experience can purchase a $50 VIP package enabling them to meet two of the movie’s stars, Jim “Hacksaw” Duggan and Shane “The Franchise” Douglas, in addition to director Cody Knotts at 6:30 pm and 9 pm.

Adding to the festivities will be live music by Dead in 5 (who contributed 8 songs to the movie’s soundtrack), performing between screenings inside Emagine’s Star Lanes Restaurant and Sports Bar, plus Tito’s Handmade Vodka drink specials and swag giveaways throughout the night.

Attendees of all ages can also enter a “Rotten Zombie Contest” where those dressed as the undead can compete to win a “killer” prize pack that includes a $50 Lucky Monkey Tattoo gift certificate, jars of Dead in 5’s lead singer Robert Libres’ notorious “Zombie’s Blood” and “Face Melter” hot sauces, plus a signed copy of Dead in 5’s new CD “Wreck Your World.” Corpse Fx make up artist Manny Rodriguez will also be on hand to transform attendees into zombies!

Pro-Wrestlers vs. Zombies is one of the year’s most anticipated horror films.  Troma Entertainment – responsible for the cult classic “The Toxic Avenger,” recently signed on as the movie’s official distributor. The Emagine Theatre screening is one of only a handful of theater dates across the country before Troma’s international DVD release.

UK horror blog Brutal as Hell.com raves about Pro-Wrestlers Vs. Zombies: “the fights are as dramatic, brutal and exhilarating as they ought to be.  If you’re a wrestling fan and you like zombies, see this film, because while it’s anything but serious art, it does exactly what it sets out do  - and does it gloriously!”

Evoking a sonic mash up of Clutch, Soundgarden, White Zombie and Led Zeppelin, Dead in 5’s dirty outlaw rock makes fans raise their fists in salute to their musical juggernaut.  It’s “Sons of Anarchy” meets “Fight Club” set in the post apocalyptic “Mad Max” environment of Detroit Rock City.
