The line at the Fillmore Detroit had stretched down the block to the Park Bar when I arrived to shoot Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators on Saturday night, the fans braving the cold blustery evening awaiting entry to see Slash shred his guitar. The tenacious guitarist, with his ever present signature top hat, wasted no time in firing up the venue with his current band mates. Blending a mix of songs from his historic days with Guns 'n' Roses to his newest material from his solo work, he and the band whipped the already frenzied crowd in to a raucous, head banging pit of rock and roll fury. Strutting about the stage with all the smoothness of a cat stalking it's prey, he delivered a rousing performance that leaves no doubt to the testament of his legacy.
