3D Tours and Savor Southwest are taking you on a real tour of Southwest Detroit, outside of Mexicantown! On Saturday, May 8, from 4:00-9:00PM, discover the flavors of Southwest Detroit as you never have before with “Taquerias and Tequila.”We’ll start at Giovanna’s outdoor patio then travel down West Vernor with stops at the Mexicantown Fiesta Lounge, La Tapitata Taqueria, and Armandos. And of course, no taco tour would be complete without a trip to an authentic taco truck, and a final stop for coffee at Café con Leche.

Tickets are all-inclusive and include drink and taco tickets.

Because we want to encourage the safety of our guests (and we know how things go when the tequila starts to flow), designated drivers are also invited to attend and will pay just $10.00 for food only.This is an outdoor walking tour so please wear appropriate attire. Rain or shine. Guests are responsible for their own transportation. Ample parking is available along W. Vernor.

In the aftermath of Cinco de Mayo, celebrations in Southwest Detroit will still be going strong. Get a taste of this vibrant community with a guided tour of some of the lesser-known restaurants and watering holes and discover what makes Southwest one of Detroit’s most viable neighborhoods with plenty of restaurants, bars, street retail, and foot traffic.

Note: Food tickets are redeemable for tacos as selected by the individual restaurants. Guests are free to redeem tickets at whichever restaurant(s) they choose. Drink tickets will be redeemable for house tequilas, margaritas, and anything else the venue selects. Specialty cocktails can be purchased separately—though there should really be no need!
