Annual Detroit Greek Independence Parade is a celebration Orthodoxy, Hellenism, and Freedom. Detroit/Windsor Metropolitan area is one of the strongest Hellenic communities across entire United States and Canada. This being the 9th Annual Parade is held on Monroe Street in Downtown Detroit's Historic Greektown and has become a true Detroit tradition.
Each year this parade starts at Woodward Avenue and continues through Monroe Street concluding at the east end of Greektown. The parade is held from 3:00pm to 6:00pm on Sunday April 18th followed by a traditional Greek dance performance.
