Belle Isle Conservancy Ho-Ho-Hosts Holiday Stroll
An Evening of Family Fun on Detroit’s Jewel
On Friday, December 14, 2012, the Belle Isle Conservancy (BIC) brings holiday cheer to metro Detroiters inviting them to enjoy an evening at the Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory and Belle Isle Aquarium for this year’s Holiday Stroll. The event begins at 5pm and is open until 8pm.
The Holiday Stroll will be filled with live holiday music. The Deep River Choir will bring the joy of the season to the Conservatory and violinist Ian B. Tran will perform in the Aquarium. The Conservatory will be aglow with holiday lights and festive decorations, while the Aquarium and lily pond will also present a winter wonderland for this family friendly event.
The five houses in the Belle Isle Conservatory are: the Palm, the Cactus, the Fernery, the Tropical with it's Orchid Fountain and the Showhouse which will feature a festive Poinsettia “Christmas Tree” display that would make Santa jealous.
Guests who arrive early will be able to enjoy Detroit’s famed Dutch Girl Donuts and a cup of mulled cider while supplies last.
“The Holiday Stroll helps families enjoy the holiday season at one of Detroit’s “Jewels.” The Ann Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory and Belle Isle Aquarium will both be aglow with holiday lights. We can’t wait.” – Sarah Earley, BIC President
