Saturday June 20 Noon to Midnight
Woodbridge at Trumbull
On June 20th Woodbridge neighborhood of Detroit, the Woodbridge Pub presents the fifth installment of their annual summer bash, the Woodbridge Merrick’n Summer Fest. With assistance from Jameson Irish Whiskey, this promises to be the biggest year yet. The stages have doubled up the sound thanks to Thunder Audio, Michigan CAT, and Lyve Productions.
Twenty-two acts are playing, of all varieties, from jazz with the Marcus Elliot Quartet, straight up rock with Dalinian, the true New Orleans sound from the Gabriel Brass Band, and the smooth Alt-R&B of James Linck.
The Street Stage starts the day with the experimental pop sounds of Vinnie Moonshine at Noon; after that, there’s no stopping the music as both stages alternate with awesome talent. The Street Stage will finish off with the sound design turned pop of Ritual Howls, then local favorites ADULT. will take to the Garden Stage and go well into the night.
This event is family friendly, at least until bedtime, and a variety of refreshments will be available both inside and at the outside bar, while the Pub Kitchen will be providing a very tasty special events menu.
Leaving one of the most important things for last, this is the biggest, best, FREE festival in Detroit, that’s right, you heard right: the Woodbridge Merrick’n Summer Fest is completely free to attend. However due to Michigan State liquor laws, we do ask that you keep your own beverages at home.
