Exhibiting printmakers are: Carol Horvath of Orchard Lake, Laura Whitesides Host of Birmingham, Rosemary Lee of Brighton, Dave O’Bryan of Ferndale, Celeste Roe of Farmington, Judy St.John of Pontiac, and Margarida Vidal of Rochester Hills.
"Printer X 7” will feature monotypes, monoprints, collagraphs, and etchings that they have produced while working together in the studio setting.
These seven artists from varying backgrounds, found their way to the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center and started printmaking together a few years ago. The BBAC’s print studio became the focal point for the group one day a week where these artists Plan their individual projects and encourage and suggest solutions and assist and learn from each other. The comraderie and and creativity is synergistic and they have investigated various forms of printmaking. They have exhibited widely, won awards, taught printmaking, worked in print shops, and juried shows.
