Bedroxx will be performing at the FIRE album release party on Friday, January 20th at the Blind Pig in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Joining him will be native Ann Arbor emcees Duke Newcomb (who appears on the track "Inter"), Nickie P., Kolorblind, DJ Dick Jones, and the Proving Ground Band. Doors open at 9:30pm (18+) and $8/under 21 $11 will get you in the show and a free retail copy of FIRE.

Michigan rapper, Bedroxx, follows up his debut EP GROW, with his first full-length independent album, aptly titled, FIRE. Hailing from Kalamazoo, Michigan and currently residing in Ann Arbor, the WMU grad has shared the stage with hip-hop notables Eyedea & Abilities, One Be Lo, Binary Star, Killah Priest, Qwel and Maker, and Themselves in venues throughout the Great Lakes state. All the while he has been honing his song writing craft and developing a strong Michigan-based following.
Constructed with the utmost passion and desire to create something that will shine forever, FIRE speaks to a generation of hip hop fans working endless days and even longer nights in pursuit of illumination. FIRE harkens to the late 90's sound of lyricists sermonizing about what they knew to be true. A style identified more by heart than braggadocio, perfected by the groundbreaking emcees on Rawkus, Definitive Jux, Anitcon, and Rhymesayers Entertainment. In this mode, Bedroxx delivers penetrating lyrics over a grating soundscape, reminiscent of strident trains moving under vividly overcast skies. At once anthemic and driving, then intimate, the songs on FIRE are as diverse as the stable of producers that provide its ardent backdrop.
The aperture has never been more focused on Michigan hip-hop than it is at the present moment. Much like the state's auto industry, it is a community built on hard work and an undying appreciation for quality. Bedroxx, via his own DIY label, Tuned Mass Damper, unveils his most ambitious and powerful project yet: FIRE.
