Another message from the green glimmer in our eye over here at MCB
The Night Move Bus!

Reason #154 to ride the Night Move:
To be GREEN this St. Patrick's Day!
What's your favorite reason to Night Move?
Hey kiddos!
Bus here, with loads of news to brighten up your day, so check it...
First up, this Friday night take the Night Move to Greektown at its new 6pm start time, then the People Mover (FREE -- ask your driver for a token) just five stops to Joe Louis Arena to watch the Wings game at 7:30. (Please note: Apologies for my error in last week's newsletter. The People Mover's new clockwise direction means all my stop counts were wrong -- oops! No one ever said the bus wasn't blonde... Go to the People Mover's website for details.)
Saturday night, the Bus regrets to inform you that we will not be running our regular route. BUT if you're a member of the DIA's lovely Founders Junior Council, make sure Cirque is in your iCal, G-Cal or whatever cal you're using these days, and take the Night Move to the Roostertail for free.
Upcoming awesomeness:
March 14 is the next "Culinary Road Trip," for your learning/eating pleasure. It's the "Cook's Tour," for anyone interested in blowing off the "Don't try this at home" mantra.
The Night Move and Metromix will be presenting two days of green-flavored St. Patrick's fun and shenanigans, sponsored by Bud Light. Stay tuned for details and schedule for riding the Night Move down to Detroit's annual St. Pat's Parade and a Corktown bar crawl on Sunday, March 15 and for a St. Patrick's Day bar crawl from Royal Oak to Ferndale to Detroit and back all day on Tuesday, March 17.

Watch CW50 toward the end of next week to see
Night Move owner Chris talk shop and lavish affection on the D.

Have you seen the Night Move billboards?
Reply to this email if you spot them, and win a free ride!
Like Where's Waldo?, except you actually get something for it.

Did you know we have GPS tracking on the bus?
Check it out on the Night Move routes page when you're
on your way out the door or on your phone to know exactly where it is!

Last chance to vote for the winner of our Winter Blast karaoke contest!
Watch the vid at our contest page, and vote for your choice of winner by emailing voting@theightmove.com.
The winner will receive a FREE Night Move Rides for a year AND a FREE night at the MotorCity Casino Hotel, courtesy of Ambassador magazine, MotorCity, and yours truly.

MCB thinks this is a good weekend to ride The Night Move....
[Metro Detroit's Green Public Transit]

Reason #64 to ride the Night Move:
To be wowed by Miguel Cabrera's sweet bat.
What's your favorite reason to Night Move?

Hey kiddos,Bus here.
First thing:
It'll be airing on the channel as well, but for those of your who don't watch Gossip Girl, it will be on their website for your viewing pleasure for years to come.Hope everyone has had a lovely sports week so far, overloaded with baseball, hockey and basketball galore. And of course, it's about to get even better -- with the Home Opener this Friday.
We still have a few seats left for Friday, Opening Day, since we're running alllll day -- from 7am to 3am. For anyone looking to ride Friday night, be sure to choose Opening Day on our booking page.
Please note:
The City of Detroit refuses to give us a Night Move lane, and we're expecting some road pandemonium Friday, so please bear with us, and feel free to monitor the bus's whereabouts at any time by visiting our GPS site on your phone or computer at thenightmove.com/routes.
Also this weekend:
Saturday is a Taste-full Tour, from our favorite culinary gurus.
The theme this weekend is "Hidden Rochester," where you'll explore a bakery full of the warm croissants and pastries, an Amish poultry market and Michigan's only fully organic restaurant. The next tour will be in Northville the following Thursday, April 16, where you'll get to tour and taste the offerings of a wine shop, a local dairy and the daily baked baguettes of Schoolcraft's Culinary School.
Mm... suddenly I'm very hungry.
Saturday afternoon, there's a Tigers game at 1 and a Red Wings game at 3, and while the bus will be engaged in eating Rochester's best until 3:30, if you happen to have too much fun at either game and need a ride home... well, that's what we're here for.
Hop on board, we'd love to have you.
Other upcoming coolness:
Friday, April 17: Detroit Music Awards. If you're going to the show, be sure to flash your ticket to the Night Move driver to ride for free. Note to everyone else: we will be stopping at the Fillmore that night instead of our regular Greektown stop.

Wednesday, April 22: Earth Day.
Your annual reminder to love and save the planet.

Saturday, April 25: Shop Woodward: Weddings event.
Shop 30 featured stores (and ride the Night Move between them)
to buy stuff/get ideas for your wedding.

Monday, April 27 Tuesday, April 28 Wednesday, April 29:
The Night Move will be running downtown to get people to Tigers games to test out the kind of crowds we get. Interested? Open for booking are 5pm and 6pm time slots from Royal Oak (5:10/6:10 Ferndale) on the way down, and 10:30 and 11:30 from Detroit going back uptown. Watch the Tigs take on the Yankees, and let us know if you'd like us to run for other games. Feedback and spreading the word welcome (I would just hate to run all over the place all alone and empty).

Dates TBD:
We're planning to run for some or perhaps all of the Red Wings playoff games. Let us know what you think, and keep the Night Move in mind as we near the end of the regular season. Standard closing remarks:Looking for more reasons to ride the bus?

Reason #27 to ride the Night Move:

The Night Move has been proven to cure allergies,
erase wrinkles, whiten teeth, AND reduce cellulite.

*What's your favorite reason to Night Move?

Hi there, my sweets, Bus here.....

Hope all is well this lovely Wednesday. And if you're going to Shanghai Wednesday tonight at Mon Jin Lau, then your day is about to get even better. Ride the Night Move's Shanghai Express for FREE from Royal Oak (5th and Center) to Mon Jin Lau tonight and every Wednesday night.

Did you hear me? I said FREE.
You really can't refuse.

This weekend, if you're not going to see Kid Rock, then I don't know who you are. The Night Move will be making special early runs to get you downtown for the shows, because this hometown hero/American Badass/king of class will rock your face off. Hit up the 5pm Night Move shuttle from Royal Oak/Ferndale on Friday, and the 4pm on Saturday. If you're not into Mr. Rock, you should probably check out the ever-influential, ever-funky George Clinton, who will be playing in Chene Park on Friday night.

Also this weekend: A super-awesome Taste-full Tour revolving around two of my (and probably your, unless you don't want to be my friend,) favorite things: burgers and beer. How could you go wrong? Check it out. Your taste buds will thank you. And don't miss the Detroit Eastern Market and Artisan Shops tour on August 21 (back by popular demand). It's gonna be SO sweet. Maybe a bit salty.

And probably a few other flavor words as well.

That's all for this week, Night Movers!

See you next week, when you ride the Night Move to the Tigs "Go Green" game against the White Sox (insert collective "boo" for the White Sox here).

Hasta la vista!

summer with a bang. Ride the Night Move and enjoy!

    First up:
This weekend, get out your cowboy boots and chaps to ride the Night
Move down to the Downtown Hoedown, Friday through Sunday.
We'll be running 3pm to 3am Friday and Saturday, and 3pm to 11pm on
Sunday. Book your seats ahead of time at thenightmove.com/booking -- just $10 for
each all day/night pass. What a deal!

    And since we're running
downtown all day Sunday anyway, we thought we should remind you that
it's also Flower Day at Eastern Market.

Let us know if you're interested in going, and maybe we'll start running
    early just for you.

Next weekend is the much-anticipated Movement (the techno fest).
Techno-inspired extended hours: 2pm to 3am Saturday and Sunday, and
    2pm to 3am on Monday.

Attention Night Movers: planning to go to Movement next weekend?

We're looking for some volunteers to help us man our booth at the festival.

We'll give you a free Movement pass, some candy and all the high fives you could ask for if you'll sign away a few hours of your life to help us out. It won't be hard,
we just need people to hang out, smile and give people free-ride passes for a little bit. Reply to this email to let us know if you're in. Thanks!

We have one more thing we need your help with. Times are tough, and you're probably sick of people pointing that out, but it's true. SO, if you have some hours to give up on a weekend here and there, we would like to pay you for them:

The Night Move is looking for drivers. If you or anyone you know could be
interested, here's the sitch: we are looking for outgoing folks willing to tell passengers a few jokes, recruit more passengers off the sidewalk and of course, drive the bus. Musts: Clean driving record, big smile, safe persona (please, sketchballs and shadesters need not apply).

No CDL required to apply (one will be required to drive, but we may be able to work something out). Email mailto:jobs@thenightmove.com?subject=Drivin to find
    out more.

Some tantalizing Taste-full Tours for your little black
    book:

June 18: International Markets, for all the exotic delicacies your pantry is lacking.

    • June 25: Beer and BBQ. This one needs no introduction, but you
should know it will be selling out very soon, so hop to it, you.

    • June 27: Ann Arbor, for Zingerman's goodies, falafel (yum), a
tea room and a collection of divine wines.
