With the holiday seasons on the way we decided to post a reminder that we need to be buying locally made goods as much as possible from local shops. We stopped buying things online a long time ago and whenever possible purchase from local non-big box stores.
Another great idea for the gift giving season are the handmade folks (like Handmade Detroit or Detroit Urban Craft Fair) who really kick out some amazing one of kind goods....dont forget about the resale folks (Rock and Rummage / Regeneration etc.) or what we have been doing for years is buying someone specialty/professional services as a gift
How about tickets to a show here in town?
Maybe passes to the DIA - heard they need funding...

stop thowing your money away on overseas labor and middle men markups
