There is something very special about dance. A special magic
to the human body moving well that we can all relate to. Add captivating music,
glamour, and pageantry and no wonder TV dance shows became such an overnight
super huge success. The latest show from the Bellydance Superstars is the culmination
of 10 years of touring the world -- more than 800 shows in 25 countries --
pushing the boundaries of the art of bellydance to capture the artistry, magic,
and passion of this unique dance in all its variety. So when looking for a name
for the 2012-2013 show only one name seemed to sum up what it would be: The
Magic of Dance.
The Bellydance Superstars did not have the luxury of
following in another's footsteps; developing and improving on the work of
others along a known course. They were the first and only full-time bellydance
show touring the mainstream dance world. As such they had a lot to prove,
mindsets to change and educate as they defined and expanded on the
understanding of what this dance means.
